Learning Scripture

Today I had the joy of watching Preston's class learn to memorize scripture with the best teacher, Mr. Bill.  He taught them motions for each word.

Philippians 4:19 (New International Version)

19And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Preston is blessed with the gift of memorizing things easily.  I was so proud that he could remember the verse.  What a great verse to teach 5-year-olds.

Preston loves being the big brother.  Parker Reese saw me walk by his classroom this morning and wanted me to hold him.   Preston motioned Parker Reese to come over to his side and join him in an activity his class was doing.  It was really sweet watching them together.

I'm still learning the ropes at my new job in the Children's Ministry.  I'm so thankful that Children's Ministry is never boring!  I'm constantly meeting new families and running into different rooms.  Today I was blessed to hold a sleeping child.  She had red hair and looks just like my little sister did when she was 3-years-old.

Congratulations to my baby sister for making the High School Cheerleading Team!  Go Musketeers!  She will be busy this summer with lots of practices, but we hope she'll get some time off to come stay with us!  We love you, Jordyn Taylor!

  1. I looked for you today. Sorry we didn't see each other. How is Jeremiah? When Aiden went into class this morning he gave Parker the biggest bear hug. They both had huge smiles on their faces. It was so sweet! I love Mr. Bill, too, and more importantly, the kids do!
